Quite rightfully, the Supreme Court has denied Sanjay Dutt the opportunity to contest Lok Sabha elections. It had to happen. Because if it had been otherwise a whole lot of convicted criminals like Syed Shahbuddin, Suraj Bhan Singh etc would also have to be allowed to fight. Thank lord there is no such possibility. What Sanjay Dutt is yet to

Things are moving from bad to worse in Pakistan. From a daily report of bomb blasts and suicide attacks at some place or the other in the country the terrorists have now graduated on to taking hostages in cities. This clearly shows the confidence which these terrorists enjoy wherein they are now seeking to engage the security forces instead of ‘hit and run’ tactics which they employed earlier.

It seems that there is only one winner in this entire thing and it’s Varun Gandhi. I know a lot of people would not agree with it but that doesn’t take away the fact that in Pillibhit he has surely managed to polarise quite a few voters in favor of himself.

Saurav Ganguly is jinxed, for sure. But why do these things happen to Ganguly? What wrong has he done to deserve all this? Quite obviously, he has to be guilty of something or the other. It’s not possible that everyone is ganging up against him. And I don’t subscribe to those views where they say that Aussies don’t like him at all.

She says that it’s not what the Gandhis have lived and died for. Well, this is where I have some very serious problems with the Gandhi family, a family which is revered by people across the nation, for reasons which I very seriously doubt.

Well, it’s now the turn of Congress to ride the rough seas. The strongest ally of Congress, Lalu Prasad Yadav along with another UPA ally Ram Vilas Paswan has for all practical purposes dissociated themselves from Congress, at least till the elections are over. It couldn’t have come at a worst time than this. With one stroke of events the Congress has lost the edge they had over BJP. Like BJP, they too do not have any alliance in quite a few major states in the country which include UP and Bihar

Yeah, why should he not be punished? That’s the question. I know it’s so very easy for us to hate him and a lot of people are indeed rooting for his blood at the moment but I have my reasons for saying what I do. Although what he ’said’ actually does smack of communalism. There is no doubt when he ’spoke’ of ‘cutting off those hands which strike Hindus’ he meant Muslims. So why shouldn’t he be punished for this?

Yeah, that’s the big question. Some time ago when I wrote this post Can we trust Asif Ali Zardari? I had actually directed this question towards the Indians. It’s only now that I realize that it’s more applicable to citizens of Pakistan. Isn’t it?

The web has been inundated by ‘LK Advani for PM’ logo. According to NewKerala.com there are over 2000 websites in which a total of five campaigns have been launched where we can see these ads. These websites include Hindustan Times, Washington Post, CNN and even Dawn from Pakistan. You just cannot miss it.

Yes, Obama will fail in Iran. There is no doubt about this. And that too for no fault of his. It’s just that that he has become the President at the wrong time. Iran is too far ahead in it’s nuclear program to consider stopping it now.

TOP POST

Okay, of all the TV networks which one was the best debate on match fixing? Well, for me it was the one on Times Now where our dear old Bishen Singh Bedi appeared half drunk. At first it seemed like I was mistaken but when he started talking I was more than convinced that he was indeed three or four drinks down, at least. A couple of drinks more and I'm sure Bedi would've told Arnab Goswami," Oye, Chadd Yaar. Tainu Kee? Aye koi nai gall thodi hai. Salon se ho raya hega. CHEERS!!" or words to that effect. But you can't really blame Bedi for this. What do you expect people to be doing at nine in the evening? Good people work through the day and party in the evenings. Don't they? For that matter, Farouq Engineer who was speaking from Manchester, UK where it was around four thirty in the evening, was seen having a huge cup of coffee (or at least that's my guess) because you are supposed to have coffee at that time......
