Yeah, it’s all but over between Salman and Katrina. If reports of NDTV are to be believed they are living separately now. Will someone please tell him that in today’s times, a leading lady of Bollywood (even if she was introduced by him) who is financially secure will surely not take crap from him? And definitely not when Katrina is doing so well on her own steam. In fact she has all the more reason to not take his interference on career decisions like how many movies should she do with Akshay or whether she should go with SRK on his world tour or not and stuff like that.

According to Sikhism no one, not even the Akal Takht which is the supreme holy body of Sikhs can declare any Sikh or group heretical or blasphemous. So those who perpetrated this crime in Vienna are going against their very own religion. But that’s just the philosophical part of this whole thing which in any case no one is interested in. All they are interested in is money and power that goes with these various gurudwaras and sects.

In both the editions of IPL it was an Aussie who lifted the trophy. Yes, both of them belonged to the previous set up in Australian cricket. But this set up was so strong that they were absolutely unbeatable for more than a decade. Even our current lot of cricketers who, many say, are supposed to be the best in the world are no match for them despite the fact that these guys are well into their retirement, as has been proved in these two editions of IPL.

By now you guys know pretty well that I’m pretty conscious about my weight and apart from workouts (which I’ll talk about some other time), I keep juggling with various healthy and low-cal recipes and ideas which I would like to share with you.

I really loved this one. Husbands should obey their wives, that’s what Supreme Court of India says. They might as well have made this the law. Something like- obey traffic rules. That would have really energized the entire lot of married women of the country. In fact there is a lesson here for the political parties of the country. If they make this a law they’ll at least get 35-40% of the voters on their side which will be enough for them to enable them to form a govt conveniently (Congress formed a govt with much less % of votes). And Joru ka ghulam would not be so demeaning then.

One must never lose one’s head because if you do you are no better than a ‘Headless Chicken’. When Rononjoy Sen used this phrase to describe our politicians he was dead right, although he was made to apologize for it. The attitude that UPA allies(!) have displayed over sharing of berths in the Union Cabinet only shows that they are indeed nothing else but ‘Headless Chickens’.

We all like people being made scapegoats. It helps everyone except, off course, the scapegoat. Those parties who make scapegoats feel happy about having done something to avenge their loss and for people like you and me it would seem that these parties have made amends for their follies. And so for these elections here are my picks for being scapegoats.

One of the readers in this blog sent me a mail asking these very relevant questions (My email ID is info@makesplash.com. If you want you too can write to me). The issues which he raised are listed out

On the face of it my statement may provoke diabolical response from people. After all, they say that he is one of the main reasons behind the victory of Congress. He may be but I have my very strong reasons to say that he’s not yet ready to be a minister in the cabinet.

Yeah, killing of Prabhakaran on 18 May is not incidental. It was planned by Sonia Gandhi. Yeah, you got that right. It was planned by Sonia Gandhi and executed by Sri Lankans. It is quite clear that she had asked the Sri Lankans to go slow till such time the results in India were declared.

I really wonder on what grounds are Lalus and Mulayams protesting against the Women's Bill. Their argument, is unconvincing and shaky. Even ideally, if for a moment, we think that poor Dalit women were to be indeed elected I'd damned if our highest governing bodies were to be made up of women who are absolutely illiterate and work as maids or do some such menial jobs. I really do not have anything against them but they do not have the aptitude or ability for this job, not as of now at least. As for my maid, I'm thankful to God if she completes my household chores satisfactorily, leave aside managing the country. .....
