All's definitely not well between SRK and Big B

SRK has taken yet another dig at Big B. And this time it’s about Big B’s write up on ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ wherein Amitabh has said something like that it’s a ‘western’ thing and it’s highly unlikely that the movie would’ve won so many awards had it been directed by an Indian or words to that effect. Although, as I’d said earlier that Big B has since retracted his statements yet our dear SRK decided to take a dig at him. What he actually said is that some people think that getting an Oscar is not such a big issue or that the movie may not be Indian but the very fact that there are whole lot of Indians who contributed to it’s success very much makes it an Indian endeavour.

Well, all I can say is that the current faceoff between these two dates back to a about a year or so when SRK was being compared to Big B. Though they did act in a couple of movies together they did not become the best of friends, to put it mildly. And then Amitabh committed one of the biggest blunders by not calling SRK for Abhishek’s wedding. I’m not sure if this was done intentionally or not. In any case Amitabh has not been good at managing his relations with a lot of people. And you pretty well know who all I mean.

SRK on his part has been savouring the ‘Badshah’ tag for awhile now and has been poking fun at Big B every now and then. We all thought that it was all in good jest. And then SRK found an oppurtune moment when Amitabh wrote that stuff on his blog. And SRK didn’t let this one go either. Although the manner in which SRK said all this was very light but I’m sure Amitabh is not amused. And I expect him to say something in his blog. Well, on second thoughts, I don’t. Amitabh has never really been a man who would get dragged into a verbal match with anyone, least of all SRK. Don’t you think?
