When Barack Obama got elected as President of US there were quite a few comparisons made between him and Mayawati. Some people also hoped that if Obama could become the President of US then Mayawati too can become the PM of India. Mayawati as PM? Oh my god!!! Well, I don’t know about you guys but if this were to happen I will leave this country, for sure, and live anywhere, may be Nepal or even Bangladesh. Anywhere in this world but here.

Seventeen years is a pretty long time. During this period a generation grows up, another generation grows old while yet another dies. In my opinion this issue belonged to the previous generation which is being kept young and alive by our politicians. If our political and judicial system takes seventeen god damned years to find out who was responsible, which we all know in any case, it’s ridiculous to say the very least. Liberhan Commission should have been scrapped at least a decade ago, if not more.

There is one more factor which can override everything else. And that is the color of Obama’s skin. Everyone says that race is not an issue. I don’t agree with that. Among other things there is a very strong feeling amongst McCain’s managers that Palin is not bothered about elections in 2008, she’s actually preparing the ground for herself in 2012. Why am I not surprised by this? I believe these guys. She’s a pretty shrewd manipulative woman. She knows for sure that her chances this time around are next to nothing.

Who elected Vaiko and the likes of Kanimozhi (daughter of Karunanidhi) as Members of Parliament? It was the people of Tamil Nadu who elected these guys.
Why are these people quitting? There is no clear answer to this question but my guess is that possibly all these guys care more for Tamils of Sri Lanka than those in Tamil Nadu.

Finally the Vilasrao Deshmukh govt has shown some resolve, under pressure or whatever. They have arrested Raj Thakeray at Ratnagiri and is being brought to Mumbai by road. Maybe even put inside the jail. This man has gone overboard. It seems that Maharashtra belongs to him and his stupid party. How can anyone dare do this to us?
