You guys would be surprised to learn that according to an Indian Express report of May 2009 the property on SP Marg which Mayawati has declared as her own was owned by Bahujan Samaj Charitable Trust, an organization for the welfare of Dalits. The question is how and when did this property was transferred into Mayawati’s name.

Which caste are you from? Are you a Jat? Or are you a Brahmin? Or a Gujjar? Or are you an SC/ST? More importantly, are you ashamed of your caste? I’m a Brahmin and I’m not ashamed of it. You may say that since Brahmins are considered to be the upper caste I don’t have to be ashamed. May be, but let me tell you that I’m not exactly proud of being one either. I just happen to be a Brahmin. It’s not my achievement and it’s not my fault either. And I very sincerely believe that keeping the manner in which I was brought up the same (I’m referring to the financial status of my parents which was lower middle class) I would’ve been the same person that I’m today even if I was born in a different caste.

Mathematics has never really been my favorite subject and I guess BJP too doesn’t like it much. Yeah, knowing maths is not exactly a criteria for being in politics but don’t they say that politics is after all a numbers game? And if it is BJP ought to have been more clued up about the numbers they had and the numbers they didn’t before they brought in the cut motion in the Parliament. By not carrying out this basic mathematical exercise they’ve let Congress off the hook in a matter of just a couple of days. Frankly, I feel rather stupid for having written the post Let there be no doubt where I said that Congress was indeed in a tight spot at this juncture, all because BJP does not get it’s maths right.

All of us get entrapped in MOH-MAYA. In fact most of us live for these two things only. These are the two things around which our whole life revolves. Just that that our individual weight-ages for these two things varies from one person to another. Some of us give more importance to MOH while for some of us its MAYA which is more important, though people who fall in this category hate to admit this. There is yet another category for whom there has to be an equal balance between the two. I can actually see some of you guys nodding your heads in agreement. Yeah, most of us would like to have this kind of balance in our lives between MOH and MAYA. Check out my video which is actually a small skit on Maya Memsaab.

Its not a question of if that happens but more of a question of when that happens. It will pave the way for establishment of a Muslim fundamentalist hub right here in the heart of India, bordering Delhi. What do you think happens when a whole lot of poor people from one community come to live together under not only one political but physical space as well? They are the breeding grounds of all kinds illegal and anti national activities.

Some people like Rahul Gandhi matured pretty early in life. Some people like Bakhtiyar Irani and Rahul Mahajan of Bigg Boss fame promise that they never will and yet there are some others like Akhilesh Yadav of SP who threaten to mature but do exactly the opposite. When SP lost miserably in by elections of UP it was maturity on his part to have accepted the verdict but he went absolutely bonkers when he took it so personally and went ahead and challenged Rahul Gandhi for the next battle in UP. And it helps him score brownie points with her too who must be feeling dejected after this loss. Though theoretically speaking there is one more possibility. Dimple Yadav may have told Akhilesh to take on Rahul Gandhi in a direct one to one challenge. Quite possible, theoretically at least.

Different people different strokes. On one hand you have a politician who has been taken for a ride just because he’s too simple and on the other you have a politician who considers that she can do no wrong. On one hand you have a politician who resigns just because he has been named as a suspect by the opposition party and on the other you have another politician who will do anything to remain in the news.

I’m quite sure that Rita Bahuguna had no idea whatsoever what the hell was Prevention of Atrocities Act of 1989 (SC/ST). She never knew that merely saying what she did was enough for her to be sent to jail

When Barack Obama got elected as President of US there were quite a few comparisons made between him and Mayawati. Some people also hoped that if Obama could become the President of US then Mayawati too can become the PM of India. Mayawati as PM? Oh my god!!! Well, I don’t know about you guys but if this were to happen I will leave this country, for sure, and live anywhere, may be Nepal or even Bangladesh. Anywhere in this world but here.

First thing that strikes us about the current feud is that it’s now personal, for both of them. And that’s because Mayawati made it personal by canceling a project in Rae Bareilly and Sonia has taken it personally as we all saw yesterday.

Okay, of all the TV networks which one was the best debate on match fixing? Well, for me it was the one on Times Now where our dear old Bishen Singh Bedi appeared half drunk. At first it seemed like I was mistaken but when he started talking I was more than convinced that he was indeed three or four drinks down, at least. A couple of drinks more and I'm sure Bedi would've told Arnab Goswami," Oye, Chadd Yaar. Tainu Kee? Aye koi nai gall thodi hai. Salon se ho raya hega. CHEERS!!" or words to that effect. But you can't really blame Bedi for this. What do you expect people to be doing at nine in the evening? Good people work through the day and party in the evenings. Don't they? For that matter, Farouq Engineer who was speaking from Manchester, UK where it was around four thirty in the evening, was seen having a huge cup of coffee (or at least that's my guess) because you are supposed to have coffee at that time......
