As for that article itself, its not so much about Palin as it is about Obama. In any case the language they’ve used is beyond the comprehension of Sarah Palin or her translators. It is now pretty clear why she has not taken exception to the article or the title even as she has objected to this picture. Well, I have one more theory about this article. May be this was sponsored by Palin herself along with her publisher Harper Collins in order to promote her book GOING ROGUE. Newsweek on its part ‘obliged’ her but chose what to write (after all they have a reputation to protect) and which picture to use. Palin cannot really take exception to all of it because its working. Even her exception to the cover photo has helped generate sales. And her book is selling like hot cakes. Remember, she has a mischievous streak and has gone rogue too, in her own words?

Anyone who is on TV is supposed to be famous, or so Mansie thinks. Because if they are not famous they got no business to be on TV. Mickey Mouse, Tom and Jerry, Madeline, Power Puff Girls and Ganesha are all famous because they are on TV. Fair enough. By that analogy Mansie is a very famous girl. And we as parents of a famous girl are also supposed to be famous. Fair again.

While I have been busy running after Aleena to give me a decent snap of hers, I went over my hubby’s statement that “her face will change as she grows”. Though I understand that her face has definitely changed, but since I’m with her all the time, so it’s pretty difficult for me to pinpoint the changes which have taken place in her looks.

The biggest hurdle these days for me is to click a normal photograph of Aleena. To begin with she can’t hold a pose for more than a second. She gets so easily distracted by even the sound of a car, or a pigeon sitting on the window ledge that it’s getting more and more difficult to get a decent snap of her. Plus she walks around the whole house, bringing everything she can lay her hands on, to ground.

I really wonder on what grounds are Lalus and Mulayams protesting against the Women's Bill. Their argument, is unconvincing and shaky. Even ideally, if for a moment, we think that poor Dalit women were to be indeed elected I'd damned if our highest governing bodies were to be made up of women who are absolutely illiterate and work as maids or do some such menial jobs. I really do not have anything against them but they do not have the aptitude or ability for this job, not as of now at least. As for my maid, I'm thankful to God if she completes my household chores satisfactorily, leave aside managing the country. .....
