Whether the promise of work by Madhur Bhandarkar impinged upon the freedom/willingness to have sex on the part of Preeti Jain is a question which needs to be answered. Another question which she needs to answer is whether she liked what she did with him or not? In other words whether she enjoyed the whole activity or not? I know I’m being very crass here but these are relevant questions. And I’m pretty sure she would not have done it sixteen times with him if she did not like it. Fact is that all this technical stuff is rather misleading. It can confuse the hell out of not just us but judges, lawyers and linguistic experts as well. What is in fact not confusing is the fact that she was just ‘using’ her body to get work in return.

Now here’s what I think happened. Firstly I partly agree with Anupam that Shiney is not a rapist, not a conventional rapist at least. I don’t think it was a case of Shiney attacking the maid just because she was alone in the house with him. To me it seems that both Shiney and the maid had a liking for each other and they must have engaged in ‘innocent’ romance on the sly in the past few days.

This is the story of Alfie Patten, a 13 year old boy in UK (although he looks more like an 8 year old). He’s like any other 13 year old but just that that he’s dad too. The mum is a 15 year old girl Chantelle Steadman. When asked about this the boy said that he thought ‘it would be good to have a baby’. Good to have a baby when you yourself are just 13? What kind of a 13 year old says that? What kind of parents allow this sort of behavior? And just how did all this happen in the first place?

3.8 million dollars, if you are keen. What the hell has our world come to! What kind of parents allow their daughters to do something like this? The story goes something like this. This young girl, supposedly Natalie Dylan from California, USA, is ready to sell her virginity online. She has received many bids but the highest one is that of an Australian who is ready to pay her 3.8 million dollars for it. And it’s not over yet. The bidding is still on.

Maharashtra is ahead of our times it seems. Or may be the rest of us are still living in the dark ages. And that’s because we still feel that living in is not exactly the right thing to do. Making it legal will only encourage people to indulge in it. And we can all blame Maharashtra for this.

Yeah, that’s the most pertinent question as of today, apart from the state of economy off course. Well, people at Yahoo have conducted a poll which has generated very interesting data. According to the poll results most Americans feel that a wide gap remains between whites and blacks. It shows that a substantial portion [...]

Yeah, she’s done it in all 50 states. What a record! Well done. She also says that she did not do it with 50 different men, how many exactly she wouldn’t say. If she did that would have been another record as well. And the best sex she had was in Colorado and Arizona. That’s [...]

Holy Mother of Christ! They’re now saying that having too much sex is an addiction and 3-6% of all Americans are addicted to it. And this entire debate has cropped up just because David Duchovny has checked into rehab for this, supposedly. According to these ‘experts’ you’re supposed to be a sex addict if you [...]

I really wonder on what grounds are Lalus and Mulayams protesting against the Women's Bill. Their argument, is unconvincing and shaky. Even ideally, if for a moment, we think that poor Dalit women were to be indeed elected I'd damned if our highest governing bodies were to be made up of women who are absolutely illiterate and work as maids or do some such menial jobs. I really do not have anything against them but they do not have the aptitude or ability for this job, not as of now at least. As for my maid, I'm thankful to God if she completes my household chores satisfactorily, leave aside managing the country. .....
