Carving out this state itself may not be that big an issue as that of Hyderabad which is well within the Telangana region and is currently the capital of Andhra Pradesh. There is no way that you can make the state of Telengana with Hyderabad continuing to be a part of ‘new’ Andhra Pradesh. There may be a few other options also available for this purpose but there are pros and cons with each. For one, Hyderabad may continue to a capital of both Telengana and ‘new’ Andhra like Chandigarh is for Haryana and Punjab. Unfortunately, like I said, it is well within Telengana region and therefore may not be contiguous to ‘new’ Andhra.

Gatecrashing is an art or rather a scientific art. Scientific because there are rules for gatecrashing like in science and it’s an art because there is definitely a human element to it which one needs to perfect. Oh yes, I would know. I’ve done it a couple of times. A piece of cake actually if you go by the rules. I know I have this image of a very simple housewife and a blogger but I’ve had my bit of fun in life. And that’s what it was, pure fun.

Its not a question of if that happens but more of a question of when that happens. It will pave the way for establishment of a Muslim fundamentalist hub right here in the heart of India, bordering Delhi. What do you think happens when a whole lot of poor people from one community come to live together under not only one political but physical space as well? They are the breeding grounds of all kinds illegal and anti national activities.

The LTTE is losing ground, literally, and very fast at that. They have lost their HQs at Killinochhi and now they are holed up in their last remaining stronghold of Mullaittivu. Sri Lankan forces have cut off all logistic and escape routes from Mullaittivu. Most people are giving just a few days more to LTTE.

Nobody gives people from north east any bhav. Nobody takes them seriously. They are just ‘chinkis’ who are supposed to be made fun of and dismissed as if they were some paltu animal. Even their women are considered to be chaalu and easy meat for most of the guys. I’m dead sure most of us will not know even the names and capitals of all these states.

Okay, of all the TV networks which one was the best debate on match fixing? Well, for me it was the one on Times Now where our dear old Bishen Singh Bedi appeared half drunk. At first it seemed like I was mistaken but when he started talking I was more than convinced that he was indeed three or four drinks down, at least. A couple of drinks more and I'm sure Bedi would've told Arnab Goswami," Oye, Chadd Yaar. Tainu Kee? Aye koi nai gall thodi hai. Salon se ho raya hega. CHEERS!!" or words to that effect. But you can't really blame Bedi for this. What do you expect people to be doing at nine in the evening? Good people work through the day and party in the evenings. Don't they? For that matter, Farouq Engineer who was speaking from Manchester, UK where it was around four thirty in the evening, was seen having a huge cup of coffee (or at least that's my guess) because you are supposed to have coffee at that time......
