Take a BOW!!!!

Given the rate at which Barrack Obama is bowing in front of monarchs I’m really sacred about his back. First to the Saudi King and now to Emperor Akihito. I hope he has consulted his doctors while indulging in this back breaking exercise. I mean we can’t really have an American President with a broken back. Can we? His planners too have to be really careful so as not to include more than one meeting with a monarch in one visit. I mean one BOW is okay but BOW BOW is bad and BOW BOW BOW is disaster. It also conveys a very different meaning which I’m sure Obama would not like. Nonetheless by now Obama has actually perfected this ‘art’. So much so that he can now do it better than the Japanese. A perfect perpendicular BOW because of which Emperor Akihito could possibly read the label stitched at the back of Obama’s collar. But do you guys know why Obama keeps doing a BOW so often? That’s because he is Barrack Obama and Wife. That’s the real reason. Well, alright I admit. That’s a stupid joke. Just the same I wonder how Michelle Obama feels when she watches her husband doing all that bowing, one after the other. Thankfully for him there’s one monarch less in this world for him to bow to, Nepal.
It’s just a sign of respect, some would say. May be but I don’t think even Emperor Akihito himself expected so much respect. In fact he’s amused and so is his wife, as you can see in the picture. Anyways, fact is that Obama is bowing a lot these days. Physically to some extent but more by his actions. Just look at how he bowed to Chinese pressure and did not meet Dalai Lama before he went to China. Even in China he bowed again when he categorically said that Tibet was an integral part of China. And then he realized that he had bowed too much and added that China should talk to Dalai Lama. But of course, Chinese are not bowing to his request. In fact it is the other way round with them. They are used to people and govts bowing to them. Be it Australia, Japan or even America. As for Obama he literally bent over backwards, sorry, forwards to the Chinese and Pakis when he obliquely suggested that China should monitor progress of Indo-Pak talks. Be that as it may, India is thankfully not bowing to any such pressures.
Even otherwise Obama has been doing his bowing a bit too often. He bowed to Karzai even as America acknowledged large scale fraud in Afghan polls. He bowed to pressures from Pakistan to keep giving them aid even as Pak does nothing at all to control terror related activities directed against India. He bowed to Russia when America did not induct Georgia into NATO. He bowed to Israelis when he kept quiet even as thousands of Palestinians were being killed in Gaza by Israel. That actually leaves just one major country to whom he has not really bowed so far. That’s Iran I’m talking about. God help us if he were to do that. Was this the change that he believed in and about which he spoke of innumerable times during his campaign? I wonder how badly has all this affected the general American pride? The Americans on their part are only taking exception to his physical bowing coolly unaware of the implications of his actions which have hurt many people all over the globe.
But tell you what? Obama did not bow in front of the Queen of England when he met her in London. It was just a slight forward nod of his head. Even Michelle did not do the customary bowing. May be because they take UK’s support for granted. Or did he just forgot to do it? May be may be not. These actions are meant to convey a message at that level. I wonder what he wanted to tell the Britishers? Check out this one minute video of this meeting on youtube here.
Anyways, I’d rather he stop doing it, both physically and otherwise. Not only is this bad for his back it is also a bad reflection of America in the eyes of the rest of the world.

BO BO Obama. LOL!!!!!!!!
He lost my support when he did not stop Israel from bombing Palestine. That was his first test and he failed on first hurdle. He's now trying his level best to make amends with others but he has just forgotten about middle east.

Obama would make a very good gymnast. Bending forward while in Japan and bending over backward while in China and numerous somersaults. He has truly brought the change.
